The Source:
The Red Gum Eucalyptus burl wood used for this piece was rescued from a local company in Yorba Linda, CA where they take felled tree logs and split it up for firewood.

The Technique:
Bill Haskell uses his own unique methods to create his art. This piece is a hollow form turned on a one-way lathe then sanded, sealed and polished for an ultra-smooth finish.*
