Deana Vail creates wondrous works of art using glass from repurposed liquor and wine bottles provided by local pubs and restaurants.
It all started when Deana and her husband (fellow artist) Shawn were inspired by the beauty of some empty wine bottles sitting on their kitchen counter. Their imaginations began soaring with ideas and they simply never stopped.
As Deana puts it, "The bottles themselves are inspirational. After you spend some time with a bottle, you can almost envision where it wants to be cut. You start seeing the potential instead of the empty bottle."
Of course, it's not just the high-quality, glass art that makes Deana's work so amazing. It's also her commitment to "helping our environment... one bottle at a time." In 2012 alone Deana and Shawn managed to save 40,000 bottles from local area landfills.
With an eye for design and a natural gift for creative reuse, Deana gives every day glass bottles new purpose as treasures to be enjoyed for generations to come.
